Running the Kitchen Sink

The Kitchen Sink is the most difficult rapid inside the Bear Trap Canyon and it has gotten the better of many oarsmen, including myself. The rapid runs around a corner and has a vertical drop of 75 feet in a quarter of a mile. It is a formidable opponent and should not be taken lightly by anyone thinking of running the canyon.
